APARC Health & Motion is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, navigate by keyboard, rely on magnification or high contrast, have limited dexterity or tremor, or are sensitive to motion.
Standard we are working to
We are working towards Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA.
Current status — partially conformant
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the standard. We are not claiming full conformance, because our testing does not yet support that claim.
An accessibility review was carried out on 2 August 2026 using automated tooling (axe-core 4.10.2) across representative page templates, a structural check of all 97 published pages, and manual keyboard testing.
What we have confirmed works
- A “Skip to content” link is present on every page and is the first item reachable by keyboard
- All pages tested can be operated by keyboard, and we found no keyboard traps
- Keyboard focus is clearly visible, with a distinct outline on links, buttons and form controls
- Every page declares a language and a unique page title, and uses proper page landmarks
- The site does not suppress pinch-zoom on mobile
- There is no autoplaying video or audio anywhere on the site
- The site includes reduced-motion styling for people who have asked their device to minimise animation
Known limitations
We would rather tell you what is not yet right than leave you to discover it:
- Colour contrast on teal badges and labels. White text on our brand teal currently measures 2.74:1, below the 4.5:1 the standard requires. This affects small labels across the site. A fix is identified and pending a decision on our brand colour.
- Heading structure. Some pages skip heading levels (for example jumping from a level-2 to a level-4 heading). This does not affect how pages look, but it makes navigating by headings in a screen reader less predictable.
- Some pages use more than one top-level heading, and a small number of pages contain duplicate element identifiers.
- Two pages contain an image without alternative text.
- Screen reader testing is not yet complete. We have checked programmatically that buttons, links, form controls and landmarks carry accessible names and roles, but we have not yet completed testing with VoiceOver and NVDA. Until we have, we cannot tell you the site is verified for screen reader users.
What we fixed most recently
On 2 August 2026 we corrected: an unlabelled centre selector on the appointment page; an unlabelled “back to top” button; an unlabelled breadcrumb link; footer text that was too low-contrast against the dark background; and social media icons that were smaller than the minimum recommended touch target size.

How this statement is maintained
This statement was last reviewed on 2 August 2026 and reflects testing carried out on that date. We will review it again when we complete screen reader testing, and at least once a year.
