Introduction and Scope
APARC Health & Motion (“APARC”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is a premier chain of physiotherapy and rehabilitation centres operating 12+ centres across Delhi NCR, Gurugram and Pune, several of which are located inside partner hospitals. We are committed to protecting the privacy of every patient, carer and website visitor who interacts with us — whether at one of our centres, through a home physiotherapy visit, or via our website at aparchealthandmotion.in.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, with whom we may share it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to information collected through this website (including our contact and online booking forms), over the phone or WhatsApp, by email, and in the course of providing physiotherapy and rehabilitation services at our centres and in your home. It is published in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”).
By using this website or sharing your information with us, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.
Information We Collect
Contact and booking details
When you enquire with us or book an appointment — by phone, WhatsApp, email or our online booking form — we may collect your name, phone number, email address, city or locality, preferred centre, preferred appointment time, and the nature of the service you are seeking.
Health information shared for your care
To provide safe and effective physiotherapy, our clinicians may collect information about your medical condition, diagnosis, referral details, medical history, medications, prior treatments, assessment findings and treatment progress. This information is collected only to the extent needed to plan and deliver your personalised rehabilitation programme.
Technical and usage data
When you visit our website, we automatically receive certain technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, time spent on pages and referring website. This data is aggregated and used to understand how visitors use the site.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and Google Analytics to help us understand website traffic and improve the visitor experience. Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Analytics data is collected in a form that does not directly identify you, and we do not use it to make decisions about your care.
How We Use Your Information
- Providing care: to assess your condition, design and deliver your personalised physiotherapy and rehabilitation programme, and monitor your progress across our services — including neurological, orthopaedic, sports, post-operative, women’s health, paediatric, geriatric, cardiopulmonary, chronic pain and home physiotherapy care.
- Appointments: to schedule, confirm, reschedule or follow up on appointments at our centres or for home visits.
- Communication: to respond to your enquiries and stay in touch with you by phone, WhatsApp or email, using the contact details you have provided.
- Service improvement: to understand how our website and services are used so that we can improve them.
- Legal compliance: to meet our obligations under applicable Indian law, including record-keeping and responding to lawful requests from authorities.
The Special Sensitivity of Health Data
We recognise that health information is among the most sensitive categories of personal data. Everything you share with our clinicians about your health is treated as strictly confidential and handled with the same duty of care that governs clinical practice. Access to your health records within APARC is limited to the clinicians and staff involved in your care, and our team is expected to maintain patient confidentiality at all times. We will never use your health information for advertising, nor will we disclose it except as described in this Policy or as required by law.
How We Share Information
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone, for any purpose. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Within APARC: with the treating clinicians and support staff at the APARC centre involved in your care, so that your treatment is coordinated and continuous.
- Partner hospitals: several of our centres operate inside partner hospitals. Where your care requires it — for example, coordination with your referring doctor or hospital records at the hospital hosting the centre — relevant information may be shared with that hospital’s clinical team for the purpose of your treatment.
- Service providers: with third parties who provide services on our behalf, such as website hosting and analytics providers (including Google Analytics). These providers process data under appropriate safeguards and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes beyond providing the service.
- Legal requirements: where disclosure is required by law, court order, or a lawful request from a government or regulatory authority, or where necessary to protect the rights, safety or property of our patients, staff or the public.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as it is needed to provide your care, maintain accurate clinical records, and comply with our legal and regulatory obligations under Indian law. When information is no longer required for these purposes, we take reasonable steps to securely delete or anonymise it.
Security Measures
We adopt reasonable security practices and procedures designed to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. These include restricting access to personal and health information to authorised personnel on a need-to-know basis, using secure systems for storing records, and reviewing our practices periodically. While no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, we work to protect your information in line with applicable legal requirements and good industry practice.
Your Rights Under the DPDP Act, 2023
As a Data Principal under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:
- Access: request a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is being processed;
- Correction and updating: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
- Erasure: request deletion of your personal data, subject to our legal and clinical record-keeping obligations;
- Withdrawal of consent: withdraw your consent to processing at any time, where processing is based on consent (this will not affect processing already carried out, and may limit our ability to provide certain services);
- Nomination: nominate another individual who may exercise your rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity;
- Grievance redressal: raise a complaint about how your personal data has been handled and receive a response.
To exercise any of these rights, please write to the Grievance Officer / Privacy Team, APARC Health & Motion at [email protected]. We will acknowledge your request and respond within the timelines prescribed under applicable law. If you remain dissatisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India in accordance with the DPDP Act.
