Common Questions

Do I need a doctor's referral for orthopedic physiotherapy?
No — you can self-refer directly to APARC. If you have a referral letter, recent X-ray or MRI reports, please bring these to your first appointment as they help your physiotherapist plan your treatment more effectively.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions depends on your specific condition, its severity and your rehabilitation goals. Acute injuries may resolve in 6–8 sessions; post-surgical rehabilitation and chronic conditions typically require a longer programme. Your physiotherapist will give you a realistic estimate at your first assessment.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Please bring any recent medical reports, X-rays, MRI scans or referral letters. Wear comfortable clothing that allows access to the affected body part. For lower limb conditions, shorts are helpful; for shoulder or upper back, a vest or loose top.
Can I have physiotherapy after joint replacement surgery?
Yes — post-surgical rehabilitation is one of the most important parts of a successful joint replacement. APARC physiotherapists are experienced in rehabilitation following total knee replacement (TKR), total hip replacement (THR) and other orthopaedic procedures. We can start rehabilitation while you are still in hospital if required, and continue as an outpatient or home visit.
Is physiotherapy available at home for ortho patients?
Yes — APARC offers home physiotherapy for patients who are unable to travel to a centre following surgery or due to mobility limitations. Home visits are available across Delhi NCR, Gurugram, Ghaziabad, Greater Noida and Pune. Call +91-9818911195 to arrange.
